myGP® Remote Consultation helps GP practices avoid unnecessary appointments and supports remote consultation via video, audio and asynchronous messaging. Video calls can be initiated by SMS or web link, patients don’t need to register for the service or download any additional software.

This Catalogue Solution has the following features that can help meet needs in primary care:
  • Initiate Video call with an SMS invitation with web link
  • Facilitates remote video/audio consultation between a practice and a patient
  • Assists communication between healthcare professionals and patients with optional file attachments
  • Messages are coded back into clinical system with option to add attachments from practice or patient
  • Reporting, including CCG and practice system uptake and utilisation
  • HSCN hosted, compliant with GDPR and NHS Data Guardian Standards
  • Ability to review a patient, and/or disclose documents, without face-to-face appointment necessary
  • Remote Consultation is part of the myGP® family of products which offer additional messaging tools

The Video Consultation Capability allows Health or Care Professionals to conduct secure live remote video consultations with individual or groups of Patients/Service Users/Proxies ensuring they can receive support relating to healthcare concerns when a Video Consultation is most appropriate.

Remote consultation as a feature is available to all patients that have downloaded myGP v5.0 upwards so there is no implementation timescale as clinicians can opt to initiate a video call with the patient directly from the iPLATO system.
